Nordson’s PURBlue™ 4 adhesive application systems efficiently process moisture-cure reactive adhesives (PUR) in the form of two-, three- or four-kilogram foil encased slugs. The user-friendly design allows the empty foil bags to be quickly and easily changed while graphical intuitive controls simplify programming and operation. PURBlue melters are designed specifically for simple, reliable operation; quick disassembly; and ease of cleaning and maintenance, without the need for inert gas. These are true “melt-on-demand” systems so process only the adhesive needed, reducing thermal stress and protecting bonding characteristics. A pneumatic piston maintains optimal contact between adhesive and melting grid for maximum adhesive use from each bag. PURBlue systems are ideal for processing low volumes of PUR adhesives for edgebanding applications, helping increase productivity and reduce adhesive waste.
