PlanSwift Plug-In

Part of the ProjectPAK 7.0 release includes an optional link that provides tight integration with PlanSwift, the premier graphical takeoff package for working with digitized drawings. The link is actually a ‘plug in’ that resides within the PlanSwift application. Users will be able to browse and pull takeoff items directly from the ProjectPAK database of library items and product assemblies from the PlanSwift application plug-in. This means that a user doesn’t have to maintain two lists of takeoff items. They will be able to directly read and write the ProjectPAK database. Users will be able to build and maintain their estimating job tree from the ProjectPAK plug-in module. This will speed the process and guarantee that the PlanSwift job tree organization is identical to the ProjectPAK job tree structure. From the plug-in, users will drag and drop ProjectPAK assemblies and library items onto the ‘Takeoff’ area where they supply quantity and other product attributes prior to digitizing counts via the PlanSwift application.
